Search Queries
A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its response. Washington County Criminal History does not retain or record those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or contact submission may be kept as needed to answer it. Such correspondence is handled within the organization and is not disclosed outside it unless disclosure is legally required.
Data We Gather Automatically
Loading a page can cause the servers to receive routine technical information about the visit, including:
- Your device's Internet Protocol address
- The browser name and version used for the visit
- Operating-system and device-category details
- Viewed pages and the time spent on them
- A referring website, when one is reported
- The date and time associated with each request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They can help measure which pages draw visits and where users leave. Analytics providers may combine this activity into traffic reports. Browser controls can reject or remove cookies, although disabling them may change how some site functions behave.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Washington County Criminal History does not operate, assemble, or sell a personal criminal-record database. It identifies official custodians such as the Washington County Sheriff, Utah State Courts, the Utah Department of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Identification, and the Utah Sex and Kidnap Offender Registry. Government-record access is governed by the Government Records Access and Management Act, court-access rules, and Utah Code Section 53-10-108 where BCI dissemination is involved. Site-visitor information is not turned into a consumer report, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies supply the site's search-box functions. Information entered there is subject to the selected provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its own retention, processing, and disclosure rules. Read those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to sheriff pages, judicial portals, Utah agency resources, legal-aid organizations, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows such a link, the destination's privacy terms apply. Review them before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may follow activity across different websites to select ads. Any such tracking is performed through the provider's systems.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may nevertheless be available to:
- Outside search providers processing a query submitted through their tool
- Analytics vendors measuring site use and technical performance
- Advertising networks serving content on site pages
- A government or law-enforcement body acting under valid legal process
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards are applied to information under our control. No Internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, however, so uninterrupted protection and the absence of every possible breach cannot be guaranteed.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If information from a minor is identified, a request may be made for its deletion.
Your Data Rights
Available privacy rights depend on residence, the entity involved, and the governing law. The Utah Consumer Privacy Act, Utah Code Title 13, Chapter 61, may grant an eligible Utah consumer rights concerning covered personal data. Within the act's scope, thresholds, and exceptions, a request may seek to:
